    Help needed: CNC stormtrooper molds

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to CNC machines, I'm a 3D designer for 3d printing but never stumbled upon designing for CNC machining. I've been involved recently with a project that involves the creation of vacuum forming molds for stormtrooper armour, and I've created 3D models of every mold without any undercuts. My question is, can the model fit a "usual" CNC machine at this scale (largest piece is around 50*36*15cm)?

And what's a decently sturdy but cheap material to cut it out of? Would casting gypsum blocks work? As it's dirt cheap where I live.
    Thanks in advance!

At 15cm tall, there's a good chance that you'll have clearance issues with the collet or spindle.

Thanks for your reply. What would be a safe max height to split the pieces to?

Hard to say, but probably in the 5-7cm range. depends on the length of tooling, and how steep the sides of the part are.
