    Problem with variable radius fillet

    Hi all

I am pretty new at Solidworks, and have a problem with filleting the part attached. This is a flange for the chimney of a model steam engine. I need to create a variable radius fillet between the chimney and the flange surface. A constant radius is created - no problem, but when I select variable radius, I cannot create control points at each quadrant to assign radii - why?

    Kind Regards
    Craig

Thats a good question! I tried it myself with the same result. I noticed if you try a variable fillet on the top of the chimney, it works fine. Did you contact your SolidWorks reseller for an answer?

I am going to take a shot in the dark here. I believe your problem comes from the fact that this file is a IGES file. Do you have this part as a actual solidworks solid part? If so post it also.
