Mazak Quick Turn, Milling, and Work offset questions.

    Hello !

I have some recently started working on a Mazak Quickturn 350 with nexus controller. it has Y axis and live tooling (obviosly)

I have couple of questions i'm hoping someone could help me with.

If i got it right, Mazatrol programs always choose G53.5 as work coordinate?
When i do milling work on the machine i usually do programming with mastercam = Iso.
Iso automatically goes to G53.5 too.

How do i make G54 active in ISO sub program ? do i have to input G52.5 somewhere?

Is it possibly to Shift the C value in work setup by a G-code?
If i do same milling on 3 sides of work piece if would have been nice to just shift the C value instead of having bunch of hassle with mastercam transform..:tired:
I have tried the G10 L2 ### code but i havent found what would change the g53.5 Meaby not possible?

Is it possible to in ISO program read several different tool lenghts for same tool pot ??
It works treats in Mazatrol but what do i type in ISO program?
Lets say i have Drill, and tap on tool pot 9, and want to shift tools in mid program..
    Mastercam puts out T0909.00

That's all for now, hopefully someone has time and interest to help me with these questions..

    Cheers!!

    Anttoni from Sweden.

Re: Mazak Quick Turn, Milling, and Work offset questions.

Should be able to run G54 in your sub without an issue

Shift C axis by running a mazatrol main and run an EIA sub incrementally, rotating the the C axis in the mazatrol main as needed to locate (assuming you are machining with C axis locked)

ISO tool numbers correspond with Mazatrol tool data page as T0909.01 is tool 9A, t0909.02 is tool 9B ect...
