    Stauff Clamps

Has anybody experimented with Stauff clamps as linear bearing housings?

They are a green 2 piece plastic clamp with a metal base and top. The base has 2 tapped holes.

I am using 2 on each side of each axis for a 3 axis machine.

Just wondering if anybody else is using the same.

    Thanks

There are aluminum clamps as well, think they are used for hydraulic systems.

    Linear bearing

What kind of steel rod and linear bearing are u using. Stauff clamps are really easy to use.... Do you have more pictures aswell? It looks pretty impressive.. I have just made some corner brackets and some feet. Gonna start with the linear bearings now..

The Rods are just bright Mild steel and the linear bearings I bought off Ebay.

It is only fairly light duty as I cut Radio Controlled Aeroplane parts for Scratch built planes.

I use a dremel as the router and bits up to 1/4"

    Have attached 2 more images.

    Regards
