DOOSAN BATTERY DIED NOW REF RTN AND PROGRAM "X" ZERO IS OFF

Machine is a Lynx 220 Doosan Lathe, the Battery died we replaced it and the Reference return was off, we have reset it by changing parameter 1815 but when we send the tool to "x" zero it is way off. Is there anyway to reset "X"0 to the center of the spindle? Thanks in advance!

Your maintenance manual, section 5 (or E) or the installation setup section, should have the instructions. Look for instructions that involve correctly altering parameter 1240. It is a process that needs to be done correctly. I can provide details when I return from Korea on Monday. Doug might be able to gather the info sooner...

The procedure must be followed to the letter.

Use an indicator to find "zero" at the spindle centerline. Once this is found, "origin" or zero out the X axis readout.

Send the X axis all the way home using the Ref. Rtrn. Switch.

Parameter # 1240 MUST be set to the same distance as the X axis readout at Reference. Be aware that #1240 is METRIC so if the machine is in inch system you must convert the position read out to metric system!

Set parameter #1240 to the correct number.

    After setting #1240, toggle #1815 bit 4 to a 0 then back to a 1.

    power down

    wait 30 seconds

    power back up.

    zero return all axii.

Check the position to make sure it was set correctly. If not, repeat procedure.
