I've download the pdf version of the manual, and start reading it,

what i want to ask what this mention mean,



Software option You require the "Extended operator functions" option (only for 828D).

I have a milling machine with Sinumerik D828 Basic M

The "Extended Operator Functions" is avaialble on both the 828D and 828D BASIC for both the M (Milling) and T (Turning) variants. The option, part number 6FC580000AP16-0YB0, includes a number of additonal operator functions including:

* Overstoring
* Teach-in
* DRF offset
* Extended block search (program, seach point, step up and down, interrupt function)
* Backup workpiece setup data
* Additional measuring beyond standard
* Display of sychronized actions in HMI
* Increase in number of levels of skip blocks to 10
* Load/save MDI program
* Extended block search (program, seach point, step up and down, interrupt function)

thanx for answering, may i ask how can i add shopmill option to my controler cause i didn't find it .

ShopMill/ShopTurn is option 6FC5800-0AP17-0YB0. You would probably need to contact your local Siemens organization to purchase this and the other option or go back to the original machine manufactuer/dealer to have them provide it to you.

The ShopMill options should be able to be turned on once the license code is entered without any other modifications needed to the machine but if in doubt, you should consult the machine manufacturer for them to verify compatiblity and requirements
