I have acquired a Phoenix HQR-XL "the computer router", by Magnum Technology.

I am currently cleaning it up, the linear rods are rusty on each axis.

I think it has large stepper motors, but not positive. I can feel steps when turning the drive shaft. The entire thing is in a wooden case with a Plexiglas box over the business end. It seems to have a working area of 15"x18"x5". The router is a Hitachi ~ 3hp (?).

I cannot find any information on the internet on this machine. Any help would be appreciated.

My name is Dennis Wright. I am a high school woodworking teacher in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. Our local trade school gave the high school a Pheonix HQR-HL CNC Router.

Our students have dismantled it and used the components to build a larger CNC router. The controller and step motors work well when using the various jog functions. We have no manual and no drivers or software. I am hoping you can help us. Would you be willing to share or source what you have for this machine? Thanks
