    Siemens 820

    Just wondered if anyone could advise me on connecting to a Siemens 820.
    I'm using a Field PG and have connected to the CPU card using X121. I have reloaded the machine data in ok using PCIN. I would now like to connect to the 820 using my S5 to check the PLC ladder as there are a few strange errors. I've connected to various S5 CPU's before and have a few cables but none of these will connect to the 820 in S5. I just keep getting a Timeout error.
    What cable should I use to connect and see the ladder and am I correct in thinking it is still the X121 connector I use?

    I would recommend submitting a support request here: https://support.automation.siemens.com under the Ask the Siemens Experts box or post a question in the Forum there. The SINUMERK System 820 is considered a mature product and may be subject to paid support.
