Drip feeding next to High Frequency TIG

I'm finally comfortable with letting my machine run somewhat unattended and want to work on other stuff in the garage. I'm drip feeding almost 70k lines of code to a Matsuura MC-600VF with Yasnac-I80m controls. The part takes about three hours to run. The phase converter is on the same circuit as my Syncrowave 350. The machines are about 5' apart. I want to weld some aluminum. I know the communication is digital but I'm using an unshielded ribbon. What do you guys think?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

I've answered my own question. I'm welding with Pandora playing on the computer. It actually pauses playback during HF start and keeps throwing power surge on USB port warnings. I won't risk welding with the Matsuura even on. I can't afford to fix it.

I know this a old thread , but I know how to solve your problem.
    I had the same problem.

You need to put the Tig machine on a ground all by itself.
Drill a hole thru the wall of your garage not far away from where the welder electrical outlet is located.

Go to hardware store Lowes / Home Depot etc. and Buy a 6ft ground rod.
Drive the ground rod into the dirt.
Connect a grounding rod/ cable between the outside rod (new one) and the ground on the electrical receptacle in the garage.

Disconnect the ground coming from your breaker panel.
Your problems will most likely go away.

Possibly, in fact this might be a good idea but it is not a certainty when it comes to fixing the problem. The interference can also be radiated and the use of un shielded cables will tend to make the pick up of radiated energy worst. The best thing to do is to test throughly after driving that ground rod.

Nothing in life is a certainty.
Of course you need to do testing.
Some MFG also recommend to try closing the point contact gap on the Tig.

I was in a situation were when I was welding a computer that was in another room in the shop (about 100ft away) would go nuts!
A HAAS milling machine 10ft. away was fine.
A retrofitted mill about 30ft. away would have intermittent problems.

After installing the ground rod problems went away.

And if I read His post correctly His Tig machine is on the same circuit as the Phase converter. That seems like a really bad idea to me!
