Ok, Good news. Got those two DROs installed and man, what a difference. I feel like I have brought new life to this machine.



I can't remember if I mentioned it, but I also tore my little lathe all the way down and cleaned everything, regreased, and put everything back together and made all the adjustments to the gibs. I think that made of world a difference, because it is way better than it used to be. I turned this little plug and fixed this part I had screwed up trying to use the mill hand wheel dials. Here's a shot of the fix..look close you can see the plug.



Thanks for the tip on the Readouts Hoss. Easily one of the best things I have ever done for this little mill. I'll get busy putting holes in parts now

Yeah DRO's do make life easier and the Igagings don't break the bank.
I built a shumatech for mine but it came off quick after cncing.
