AXYZ router pauses when cutting an arc

I have a problem with my router (and I hope that answer is within the vector programming and not the machine) in that my machine sometimes pauses when cutting a bunch of arcs.. pausing after each little variation. The pause is enough to start burning wood.. it's quite annoying and I'm hoping there's a simple solution. Is there a way to make the machine flow more smoothly?

It could be reading nodes in the arch as a start/stop points. Some vector design programs use an overabundance of nodes to create curves. Corel draw does this. You may be able to select the nodes and delete most of them without effecting the arch.

Hmm.. I'll have to take a look at the code a bit deeper than I have. Thanks for the tip!

    Do you use Mach 3?

If so, what is your look ahead set to? (on the general config page). Set it farther out than the default of 20. I run 200.

Is "motion mode" set to exact stop or constant motion?
