    gildemeister ctx 400 series 2 cnc lathe with fanuc 21 it control

    In need of help asap m y turret on my gildemeister will not index it throws up an alarm saying not right position
    does any one know what the right counter number to set my turret

    also what does it mean when the machine is in memory at the top of the screen has in red bc 0000000

    have not seen bc 00000000 on any 21i control
    normally the turret wont index unless you are at Y0
    what happened just before the alarm? normally this shouldn't happen all by itself.....

    not sure what happened i was on vacation and came back to the problems. this gildemeister does not have a y axis only x and z it wont even run a program any suggestions ?

    you have not provided enough info. it sounds like you have a hardware problem
    try to zero return the turret. i.e. in manual mode index the turret.
    what is the exact alarm number and description?
