Hello, hope it's the right place.

I'm working on a flatbed paper/cardboard plotter. I'm wondering which kind of tool should I use.

I'm looking for experienced people in paper cutting who can answer these questions :
- Do I need a rotating holder where rotation is controlled by a motor ? I remember using an old HP plotter which had a passive pivot blade for cutting vinyl, and worked fine.
- What are the advantage of vibrating tool ? I guess it cut better, minimize tool wearing but is it mandatory ? How to make it vibrate ? I have no clue where to find piezoelectric components and I think it's quite tricky to use.

Thank you
