Question what do you use for lubrication on your machine?

what do you use for lubrication on your machine? on the rails? bearings? ballscrews?

I have one of the first xzero machines...will Superlube do the trick?

Mobil Vactra 2 is made for machine lubrication, Superlube having teflon cant be bad. Based on what you are cutting the grease my cause particals to stick to the critical parts.

well i was thinking of using the superlube grease on the ballscrew nut since it has a grease fitting..and then just spray superlube for the round rails...there is a "dry" superlube as well..not sure if that would be better??

I use vactra#2 and vactra#4 depending on the machine. Your machines manual should specify what to use.

    +1 on the Vactra-2.
One of the most widely used in the industry.

We use Kluber Isoflex NBU15 on the ballscrews and linear bearings of our Morbidelli router. It's very expensive, though, at about $100 per tube.

Kluber grease is only necessary for the drilling spindles. Any good semi liquid grease (viscosity grade 00) will do for the ballscrews and linear bearings
