XYZ done - Need do E-Stop, Limits and Spindle Control for X3 Mill.

Hi, still very much a newbie at this game, so looking for a bit of guidence

I've got my mill doing some useful stuff, but i'd like to 'tidy it' up some more.

    (1) I really need an "e-stop" on the mill. Right now, the Estop button just will stop the motor, but not the XYZ steppers. Probably way less than ideal. I could rig up somethign a bit hairy, but i'd rather do it nicely. Any suggestions. Right now, my E-Stop is the power switch, which powers up everythign. Really ugly.

    (2) Would be good to have some limit switches so i dont' accidently drive things past the limits Not somethign i really want to do..

    (3) Getting control of the Spindle would be useful, so it can start / stop automatically woudl be awesome,

I can see that in teh near future, i'll probalby want to go and buy a "real" machine. but for the moment, this is lots of fun.

In the same position as you are,
My E-stop will be through the G540 controller.

As far as a mill speed control, learned about these from another post somewhere on here:CNC Spindle Control Upgrade Kit for SX3, SC4 - LittleMachineShop.com
In the long run, considering the use of an external vfd and a different motor for myself. But then my long term plans are also for a mill of my own. My current project belongs to my work place.
