Hi,

We have an Index G200 CNC lathe, in which I'm facing the following problem.

1. After referencing all axes, when i press cycle start button STV alarm " 81100-333 Please move the Z4 axis(counter spindle) to rear position" appears.
2. As per the manuals, this is an alarm which indicates precondition to run auto cycle is not ok and it can be remedied by pressing " Message Confirmation" button.
3. When I press the " Message Confirmation" button, Z4 axis will move to " Working Position " and error message gets cleared, but it appears again when i try to run the auto cycle.

When i went through the troubleshooting manual, for this the reasons given are

a. Rear position missing.
b. Rear Fixed stop missing.
c. ELG mode still selected after block forward.

and remedies are

a. Execute via Start precondition or NC screen.
b. run "M3=20" Pickup Position via overwrite memory.

My questions are:

1.How to check for the reasons given above.
2.What is ELG mode and how to deactivate that.
3.How to execute the remedies given.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Thanks and regards,

Sandeep.
