    Bait Mold

    Hi,

I'm working to create a mold for fishing baits (crawfish). Using primitive shapes and fillets I created the tail fairly easily. I'm working on the body now and struggling on the best approach. I started to use cross section and got errors trying to perform that on the shapes I have (which aren't correct). Should this be a skin?

Some pointers greatly appreciated on how to do something like this.

Note: One of the pinchers/claws is missing in the picture hence the need for a mold

    Thanks in advance,
    Henry

I have worked on a few on these in the past. Yes skins will do a good job for a part like this. There is too much "curvature" in order to use just solids IMHO. You need to lay out some wire frame and get some surfaces going. The other option that I feel would work great would be BobART and it's embossment tools.
