Not that early, and not DOS, although some commands are the same.
parameters are shipped with the floppy disk set. should be a file name like A.TOP
If you lost parameters, (board fail?) you WILL need to re-load the exec anyways. When you do, it will put all the values back to factory.
Yep board fail...sort of...wouldn't boot all the way, we kept getting the alarm "1-1" at boot. To make a long story short we traced down the
board, and the red illuminated LED on that board corresponded to the exact boot up alarm etc. So from there we didn't know what to do, like there's
the board now what? We decided to check the battery right next to the faulty board, pulled the whole card (with the opus7000 battery), checked the battery, fine,
re-installed it and viola. No more red light.
We then were able to install the Okuma system floppy disks (1 thru 7) with an explicit set of detailed OKUMA instructions. This allowed the
OSP 7000 controller to boot up completely and the machine turned on like it was supposed to.
Then I think there was an alarm that corresponded to some parameter like word 41, I set 41 to 1, then another for word parameter like 73 or something,
manually set it to one and cleared all alarms.
But now the controller is in a constant state of variable limit ON ( green limit light allways on) and it is difficult to find the correct number (because limits are like 10,909.90) and its like where in that number is the machine work work envelope? I cant just CAL 0.
We have several recent PBU (parameter backup disks) that came with the machine but it won't read them, we keep getting an error. That is why I am looking for parameters.
AND maybe some X and Z stroke limit #'s from another same model machine that I can put in ours.
We got this machine used 5 months ago and it was a lemon...Long story, but the controller worked fine then. It sat for 6 months, we got the turret fixed and now
these controller probs.

here's the parameters from another lemon (1996 LT25-M with OSP7000, 10" chucks and live tooling).
I doubt they can be used as-is though. I think you just need to set up your limits and your machine will be ok.

BTW, you wouldn't have any tips or tricks for setting the limits after a recovery?
In the back of your machine in the electrical cabinet there should be a "Management Data Card" that has your Stroke end Limits, PR Zero Offsets, and Zero sets for your particular machine recorded. When Strokes are set, Variable limits will be set automatically.
Check there first...

I usually just manually set the limits to 999 and -999, along with the user limits, then jog to close to the limit switches and enter the current value for each.factory limits may not help if the encoder has ever been changed.

Look how VZOFZ is changing with commands CALL 0, CALL 1000. This gives you answer, what is the value of machine coordinates unit. You can find a page with machine axis data.
Easy to calculate encoder zero offset or limits.
Thanks, a paper with the stroke end limits came with the machine...first after much trial and trib. I ended up through optional parameter 3 bits 0 1 changing the machine from metric to inch ( metric after syst. software re-install ), then I was able to keep adding + or - till I got the #'s set to the ones that came with machine. Then was able to escape the constant state of VP/VNLVz/x on and VIOLA! I can now MANUALLY move XZorC wherever and CAL MY limits wherever I need them! THANKS guys for the fantastic support!
But now this has made way to a new set of problems that I hope you guys can help us with !
1: the input units are .0001, so when I ADD 1.0 I actually get ADD .0001! so ADD one inch is typed like ADD 1000.0 please help!
2: a live tooling program that I have ran and completely proven on our new Genos live machine, will on the old lemon run up till the point where the C & X axes would otherwise move simultaneously , then all axial movement stops and the buffer continues to read and run the prog as if it was still running AND finish thru M02, but no axial physical machine movement!!! Please help!
1. there's a parameter to set the amount that is added. looks like you have it set to microns or tenths of microns?
2. post the program here and we'll have a look, otherwise we can't help you.
1. set stop point in the part program just before C axis engage
M01 or M00.
2. when part program stops (conditional program stop) turn on the single step mode. Continue the program with green button.
3. Go step by step through the part program. I guess, the error message pops up

G94 is feed per minute. that's ok because he's milling.
A Genos is a much more capable machine. You generally can't run programs from newer machines on old pieces of crap as-is without modifications. Are you sure your lemon has G103. its an option.

It was OPTIONAL parameter #3 changing bit 1 from zero to one...(if that makes any sense) that changed the input units from .0001 to 1.0 and allowed the
machine to run that prog...all day long sweet suzie !
