Mach 3 stops responding during cut

I was about 20 min into a cut and mach just stops. There are no limit switches to trigger and no response using the keyboard to moves an axis.

It also happened while mach 3 was idle (hobbycnc board powered on) and I stepped away from the computer for 90 minutes. When I returned

again no axis response. I restarted mach and everything worked fine.

Anyone have a solution to this issue?

    Will increasing the debounce help?

Check your PC power saving options and screensaver settings.

If there are no error messages, than it sounds like Mach3 is locking up your PC. Some PC's just can't get along with Mach3. You're best option is to go through the Optimization guide and turn off everything you can on your PC that's not needed.

    Matth,
I edited those settings so that nothing goes into power saving mode.

    Ger21,
I will check out the optimization guide.

    Thanks guys

I have a PC running my plasma that does not like the cold weather too much. I was having the same type issue on my first few cuts when it was below 50F. I let the PC warm up for an hour now before strating Mach 3 and it works fine. No issues. It didn't have issues above 50 F before.
