I'm looking at a 2006 VF2. it has a 12" monitor.
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between
it and the 15" color. Other than the color is there any difference?
in using it? Seems to me the color has more information on the screen.
Any information is appreciated. I have no experience with Haas.

Unless the monitor has been swapped out or something, I don't think it's a matter of the monitor itself, but what software version is installed on the machine. Older machines had different software and you can't upgrade by just changing to a color monitor.

There is a lot more information on the screen of the 15 monitor. These monitors and the associated machine software versions started being introduced around 2008 or 2009, I have several machines from just before and after those dates and the early ones dating back to 2006-7 have the 12 while some I bought in 2008-9 have the 15. Personally I am used to the 12 and the 15 confuses me because things are in different places and paging through the screens uses different key sequences.

I've got the 2006. Monitor is great. Don't buy it or not buy it because of that.
