    Central Machinery #33684 7" X 10" - how do i set up for a long taper??

I am a newbie and just bought a used Central Machinery #33684 7" X 10" mini lathe. I have done multiple searches but not sure what the best way to cut a taper on a 5/16th shaft? I want to make about 50 pieces each time. I don't know the best method to achieve my taper - a 30 degree point. Please look the attached Drawing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

    Cut bar stock to length
use the compound slide........ rotate it to the angle needed to cut on the back side and reverse the spindle direction
    Walking is highly over-rated
