Tool coolant controlled by solenoid on Haas stopped working

    Hi there,

We have a Haas in our shop whereby the tool coolant is controlled by solenoid at the back of the machine and it has to be turned on manually instead of using G Code (refer to picture 3). The tool coolant was working fine this morning until it stopped working suddenly where there is no air coming out at all. If you look at picture 1, if we would to take the master air hose out and connect it to the tool coolant hose, there is no problem for the air to come out at all.

We are suspecting that it could be a broken solenoid (refer to picture 1) that causing that issue or there might be some other reason for this to happen. Any advice would be helpful.

    Thank you very much.

You turn the valve on by hand. What controls the solenoid valve?
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

    It's a pretty basic system.
If you have power to the solenoid but no air, then you have a bad solenoid.
If you don't have power to the solenoid, then you have issue with whatever you have powering it and/or a bad solenoid.
