Hello

i'm trying to find way to connect my stepper to the rack

most of what i see people use spring and gear like this

but my steppers is bigger than what this gear can take and i can't find bigger one in Egypt

so somebody showed me worm gearbox and said it can be connected directly to the rack , no need spring

so is this true , if it's not , what can i do to connect this stepper to the rack

You'll get way too much backlash with this gear box.

so i should use gearbox with spring


how about this gearbox , it can drive 2 pinions


anyhow my system is using 2 rack on the Y

Might work very well.
Depend on backlash. Look for the specs.

do you have any good idea how to connect nema 42 stepper to rack and have so low backlash
