Does anyone know if it is possible to install a newer Boot program for the 16i-MA?

My control currently has 60M3-0008 and I want to install 60M3-0009.

SRAM backup what you have in there and give it a try. Normaly a REV or two up is OK, just so the hardware did not change to support the higher REV.

I have an sram backup of the machine with the newer boot program but it still shows the older version when I boot the control.

My situation is this...

I've lost everything on the mill, every program except the Boot program. I have gathered all the files and sram backups from other machines of the same model with the 16i-MA . The problem is that the control will not boot and says "Software Combination Error (Graphic)"

All the Graphic files I have located are version 60V2 but my control wants version 600W.

Every file on the control has been updated to the newer files but the control is still looking for version 600W so I have to assume that the boot program is the program specifying the version 600W (or possibly graphic hardware has the required version number programed in its firmware?)... anyways, I was hoping to update the boot program to the version that is on the machine I got these newer files from. Hoping this would fix it.

Have you talked to Fanuc? 1-888-326-8287 They have got me out of a jam a time or two.

Ya, I called Fanuc. They will not supply any software. They will only send a guy. I cannot afford it.

I have to get it going myself or just scrap it. I can't keep paying rent to store a broken mill.
