    Roland Picza 30 3-D Scanner Set-Up

    Hello,
I have just recently purchased a used Roland 30 3-D Scanner.
The cable hookup is for connection to a serial port on the computer, which I do not have. I can use adaptors and go from serial port to 25 pin paralell port. Is this acceptable? If not, what do I do?
    Thank you,
    witelite

I've never heard of doing that, but let us know if it works for you. The more usual route is to use a serial to USB adapter. You might ask Roland tech support if there's a particular one they've had good luck with.

    Hey Witelite,
I have a Rolland scanner and from memory the lead is wired the same as a "nul modem cable"
