    How To select Steeper Motor

    Hi All,
I've two motors i need to select one of them. One is 6A 3NM the other is 4.3a 4.8NM. I don't understand how the lower current is the higher torque? If the voltage rating is different and i used the same drive @ the same speed which one will have the higher torque.

There is no way to answer your last question without having torque curves for both motors. What you listed is static torque which drops off as speed increases. To get higher static torque with lower current generally means there are more turns of wire in the motors, and this causes the torque to drop more rapidly as speed increases because of increased inductance.

Also the motor with the higher torque will be longer (Two Stack) and that is why it has more torque.
