    CNC software for dummies

    Hey guys,
Im new to the CNC world. I have setup a sherline cnc mill already and it is functional. However i need a CAD software that is really easy to use. I mean simple click...click... and machine. Can anyone recommend something that is user friendly.
    Thanks

I don't think any of it is quite that simple. You need to find a CAD program that will allow you to create the models you want. Then you need a CAM program that can translate that model into toolpaths for a specific machine, using a particular tool stepping over at whatever distance you choose between passes, and cutting at certain feeds and speeds. Then you need to set up your mill so that it knows where it is in space, load the G-code, and run it.

I found ArtCam Express to be a fairly easy learning curve. Lots of instructional videos available. You can get a demo and try it for free. BobCad is also good (more geared towards metalworking).

It doesn't work that way, research CAM carefully, you will need to select geometry and choose how it is to be machined.
Watching the online tutorial videos for a package will give you an idea what's involved, if it was as simple as "click...click... and machine" there would be no market for training courses ;-)
