    Jerky motion in one direction - x axis

    Dears

    In one our 810D siemens suytem,. we are facing Jerky motion in one direction for the entire length. we have checked mechanical part , it is intact. axis build with linear scale, I have a doubt on Linear scale. any one suggest me., how to isolate Linear scale and run the machine on motor rotary encoder, what are the paramters to be changed.
