Question about table display window and PRO4824 machine

I've got a CNCRP Pro 4824 and while I'm still on the steep part of the learning curve, I'm slowly becoming more comfortable with it. One of the idiosyncrasies I've noticed is when the z-axis assembly is moving from left to right on the gantry (positively increasing X) and the gantry itself from back to front (positively increasing Y) the table display moves top to bottom for X and left to right for Y. I may have the absolute directions backwards but in other words, the table display is turned 90* to the actual movement of the z-assembly and gantry. Is there a way to make the table display match the actual movement? I tried a +90* input on the "Local System Rotated" on the MIDI page, no joy.

    Thanks. Scott

Two things you're saying don't make sense to me.

    1) If moving to the right is X+, then ,moving from back to front should be Y-, not Y+. (decreasing y, not increasing)

    2) If your talking about the display in Mach3, X is always left to right and Y top to bottom, and can't be changed. You're saying that yours is 90°?

Re: Question about table display window and PRO4824 machine

My machine moves just like the screen. My table is X and the gantry traverses it. Bottom left is zero for X and Y.
My gantry carries my Y axis. Away from Zero either axis is +. I can' go farther left or closer to me, so my table zero is actually absolute. End of travel with 1/8" to spare. I cannot cut into a negative number on X and Y, but Z always cuts into the neg.
I picture of your machine with some arrows drawn in may help us understand. I am confused like Gerry.

Re: Question about table display window and PRO4824 machine

Allow me to apologize for completely buggering up my question. My brain hurts!
My question came from an observation made during table surfacing. As I stood to the right of my machine and watched as the spindle traversed back and forth I noticed that while the table top is shaped like this |_______| with respect to me, the image of the toolpath in the display Mach3 table display was shaped like this

I wondered whether the display could be rotated so they were both |______|. The crushingly obvious other choice would be to rotate the table 90* which I don't have space to do. Again I apologize for allowing my inner moron out. . Scott

That's what I though you meant. And my answer was going to be to rotate the machine 90°.
The only other option is to swap the axis on your machine, so the X becomes Y and the Y becomes X.

Thanks for your answer. How? Swap homing switch inputs?

Change the X motor to the Y motor, and yes, you may need to change the home/limit switch pin numbers, depending on how it's wired.
