I am getting acquainted with this machine but having a problem with finding the D register for tool diameter compensation offset.
G41/G42 is normally followed by a D "nn" where "nn" is the number of the register where the current tool diameter is stored.
Does anyone know where I can find the D table in this machine.
For instance, I have a Haas Mini Mill older than the Bridgeport and the in the tool offset table there is a column for the diameter of each tool
The Bridgeport tool height offsets uses a table with 99 slots available. I normally call G43 H "##"; when referencing the tool height of the tool in the "##" holder
I tried using the G41 D "nn"; where "nn" is "##"+ 22 location in the H register (just added a number higher or equal than 22 which is the max number of tools the magazine would hold) where I stored the diameter of the corresponding tool, but to no avail. I got the idea of using the H table to store a D parameter from reading other threads in this blog. I don't think that works in this case though. I read about setting the bits in parameter 5001, which right now they're all at 0 but before going there, there must be a simpler way.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong.
Thank you in advance
