Dear Experts

I am using DNC option via serial RS-232.. How can i use DNC function through Ethernet.

If you want specifics, tell us what control you exactly have and I'll post more specific instructions.

For Fanuc 16 and 18, it is:
1. Setup your FTP server and verify FTP communication is all good.

2.Then, after loading program in data server hard disk, you can either
i) load program in memory (for small programs)
or:
ii) Use M198P#### in MDI or in a program in memory mode to call a program in data server. (a function we use for large programs)

For Fanuc 0i, you can easily setup your FTP as well but I never tried using the M198 function on these controls since memory is quite large already I just load it in memory but I would think M198 is used in the same way as for older controls will double-check for you if that's the control you have. Also I think for 21i and so on, procedure is identical. Also control has direct access to the FTP shared folder for 0i controls.
