    Spindle cooling need help

    Hey guys
I searched but maybe not hard enough

I got the 1.5k Chinese water cooled spindle....
And im tired of that disgusting water after
A week or so.... And all that crap that gathers
Inside the tubes..... And i was thinking...
Can i use car antifreeze to cool it?!?

Search results suggest you should be fine with the non-toxic anti-freeze (Propylene glycol). You can buy it at any place that sells regular anti-freeze. I wouldn't use the toxic stuff. For folks who have shops in cold climates, anti-freeze would be almost mandatory. I would keep the reservoir covered. If you decide to mix or use water, I'd use distilled water.

Which spindle did you ultimately choose? I'm about to order a 2.2kw, and I'm torn over whether to go with one of the US re-shippers, or roll the dice, and delay, straight from china. It looks like all the US re-shippers are selling the same product with the exception of one. It's too bad we don't have a big "who'd you buy from, and what'd you end up with?" thread.

About ten years ago GM changed it's formula for it's Dex-Cool and it began dissolving gaskets ... so of course the had to change it again (after Big Buck repairs)
Unless told otherwise use what they recommend .... the "good intentions" on this group won't pay for damage it may cause. Research it on Google, Yahoo or Wiki

    you can use the antifreeze..

it is important winter.. im living in Georgia and here water is ok, due winter is not so cold..
im using a simple catlitterbox, and an aquarium pump..

sure you cut a small opening on the lid that hoses are fit trough barely.. that sufficient to keep dust and large particles out..
and keep under router where covered by routertable..

each month I blow pressured air trough on the returning hose..

so what was pumped in, that will comes out.. when you buy a new one, simplest is buying what offered from USA or Canada shipping..
