Does anybody program her/his wire-cutting machines with NX?
Has anybody got experience with it?
Does anybody know where to buy an open PP (postbuilder) for an Agie Challenge 3 with a Vision 2
(that works already and doesn’t need to be adjusted for a long time)?
Pleasse give me information!!

Hello
wire erosion programs are very simply but highly complicated programs.
Agie has developed a lot for the wire-cut EDM, but it has its very own sentence construction .
To generate a few NC sequences is not a big problem, but the problem is that the CAM program thinks too and need to created the program ‘suitable for wires’
I don’t know the NC CAM system but I guess that you will encounter the same problems as me with Pro/E.
These Cad programs were never been created for wire-cut EDM.
I would recommend you to do the detour over the DMX format and a CAM system that is specifically tailored to Agie.
