Does anyone have experience with a CAM system that has the capability of applying multiple tools to a feature on a solid by selecting that feature (not extracting geometry or manually setting z depths for each tool)? For example a pocket that would require the same 6 or 7 tools in the same order with the same depth of cuts, drill depths, tap depths, etc on the feature. In our case we use Gibbs CAM 07 and it does not have that capability. The features we are milling are in different places in space but are machined in the same way no matter where they are at. We use Solidworks to draw our parts and it has an awesome library function that we create our parts with. I simply revolve a solid and apply a Library Feature that I have previously created by selecting just a few references. It saves hours of drawing time and would be very powerful in a CAM system. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
