Hi,
I am very new at all this, just wondering how to take a drawing I made in "Google Sketchup" and convert it to "G" code? Is this a tricky thing to do?
Thanks,
Rob

there is software like
DAK Engineering - Ace Converter
.
that will read a AutoCad dxf type file and convert to Gcode. it has some options that may need setting like I,J arcs relative or absolute. depending on machine being used this can be important
.
Google sketchup never seemed to be to me very precise. DoubleCad or Draftsight are 2 free Autocad similar programs that create precise 2D drawings
.
DoubleCAD XT v3
.
Download DraftSight - Dassault Systèmes[swfreetools]-[middle]-[intext]-[www.solidworks.com]
Thanks for your help, I will keep you posted on my progress.
Cheers,
Rob
