We are purchasing a laser tube cutter at work and we need to decided on witch controller to get. From the fanuc website it looks like the 30 series is the newest model they make.

Are the series 30 controllers the top of the line for fanuc? Does anyone know what the good and bad points are about this controller? Would anyone recomend and different series? Are macros available with this series?

Yes. 30i is one of the most advance controllers in current Fanuc line up. I am sure macro option is available on this control but be sure to check with the machine builder to see if it is already installed in the control since it is general expensive to have it field install after machine is already at your location.
