Hello,
just a short question:
I work with an elderly machine (Fanuc 1986) and the problem is that the hydraulic gets hot really quickly.
After around 4 hours I have to shut down the machine. The oil gets so hot that its impossible to touch the container of the oil. The pressure if correctly set.
What could be the problem?

Hello Tomdar,

Have a look at the pump. There is often a membrane located. After a long time it would be no wonder if it’s defect. Usually it’s enough to just replace this membrane.
If your unlucky then you have to replace the whole pump.
