hi guys, i am a lurker, with not much experience on CNC
so please be kind on my newb brain
I am currently looking to purchase a router,
and as i am selling my old buisiness, i would like to use this router
for many different work opportunities.
So i thought, instead of buying 2-3 machines in the future
why not try to get one that might do most ..even if it costs a little bit more now
so what i am trying to do ( to make it short )
is use a 3 axis solid router ( HSD, 30mm linear..strong body..400mm Z etc.. )
and use it for panel processing ( ACP, wood, plastics )
and use it also for machining more complex parts
using a 4th ( C ) and 5th axis ( A ?? )
so i am inquiring with a few chinese manufa about the new LNC M8000 controller , which looks very promising on paper
uses linux as OS, can do up to 32 axis ( the version i would get supports up to 16 axis )
and i would use the 2 rotary indexer clamped style they are providing me with to modify and setup as a trunnion indexer ( 2 yaskawa servos that runs lathe chucks ... )
i was told that the M8000 controller is compatible with that kind of milling operation
so basically i would have a strong router for panelling
wood etc..
a 4 axis router/ milling if i require to work around long parts or around only
and a 5 axis trunnion "milling" machine to work on wood/plastic and aluminum//copper parts
what do you think ?
am i missing something ?
are the axis on a Trunnion milling setup called C and A ?
cheers all! best forum on CNC!
anyone experience with LNC M8000 ?
