Red face Yasnac LX-3 322: CMOS Vacant Area Error

    hey all-

we recently acquired an off-brand lathe with the yasnac lx3 control. after plugging it in, the boot tests all passed ok, we overtraveled the table and had to disconnect the limit switches to try to jog it back into the safe zone. well, after removing the limit switches and booting up, we now get this

    322: CMOS vacant area error

according to yaskawa, we have no other option but to replace the mb or the offending chip(s). based on pc computing experience, it seems that you can remove the battery and clear the cmos... can we do the same here?

we're going to back-up the parameters first, and then give it a try...

has anyone else had this happen before?

    thanks!

    hello,
i would not post new thread - so - we have same problem: alarm 322 cmos vacant area error.
i've googled already a bit - a solution to thsi should be to set 1 to parameter 6066.d2 to reset the error. but i cannot see this parameter inside the controller. shocked

has somebody had a problem like this before ? how to proceed with this ?
any advice would be great. thanks.
