I made the plunge & ordered a IH mill.

Now it is on to the first project, no not on the milling machine, rather, for it. I didn't order the stand. First of all I don't want to bolt it to the floor because I will need to move it around as I rearrange my shop, a yearly thing, like spring house keeping ...

I want to build a mobile base, I am thinking of going with a 2' wide foot print with wheels & height adjusters under each of the legs.
- I am not sure about the depth, maybe ~30"?
- I'm 5'8", is a 24" height about right?

I started out by looking at Bob Warfield's base. That is one sturdy set of legs Bob!

My design so far:
- Front legs should have swivel heads
- The back legs non-swivel
- Use large diameter all-thread rod with hockey puck pads (Thanks Aaron) for leveling.
- Use steel or wooden wheels to keep the cost down. I could glue up a 3 inch wheel out of plywood for next to nothing & its quick.

If any of you have any ideas, or cool designs (pictures) to share before I get to building I'd like to hear from you!
