    UNLOCK USB PORT - 810D

    someone could tell me how to unlock the usb port which is inside the machine? second the technician, that port also serves to transfer files and stuff....

    do you have the hmi manual? it will tell you how to exit the siemens control it probably has windows xp on it. I just did this the other day, you'll need a mouse plugged into the back behind the screen, then you can copy and paste like on any pc

    Unhappy 810D & USB

    USB will only ever function on an 810D panel if it has windows XP Pro installed on the PCU. The computer behind the lcd screen.

    My machine (2008 Chevallier QP2040L) has Caldera Dos on it and there are no drivers for USB under Caldera. Never were, never will be.

    Only choice for me to enable USB is a new PCU unit!!!
    At the moment it only serves as a keyboard socket.
