    Hello people!

    I work at Siemens 810D controller with Manual Turn.
    I’d like to turn a multiple thread.

    Draft: 1573,94mm
    Angular misalignment: 5,714 °
    Number of thread turns: 63
    Depth of thread: 0,3mm

    The whole thing will be on a cylinder with diameter 501 x 1920 long

    The thread will be cut at 2 sides and muss result in a cross model with lots of diamonds 17.7x17,7 mm.

    Can anybody tell me how I can make it with Manual Turn?

    Regards
    Gernie

    Hello!!

    I hope I can help!!

    Always cut the thread turns after each other!!---------63x

    Enter the desired angular misalignment (5.714°) at the start.

    1.Cut 0° (+5.741)
    2. Cut 5.714° (+5.741)
    3. Cut 11.428° (+5.741)
    4. Cut......

    Hello,

    I make it exactly in this way.

    But I thought it’s possible to automate the process so that the machine calculates it itself.

    Maybe there is another possibility.

    But thanks anyway.

    Hello,

    Would it be possible to turn the zero point of the spindle and to loop the thread cutting with 62 recurrences?

    I would try that.

    Hello Gernie,

    You also can move the start point in Z at a 63th part of the draft.

    It can be made with parameters:

    R10=360/63
    R11=0
    repeat
    thread clause with start point R11
    R11 =R11+R10
    Until R11==360

    But you should allow the machine to calculate the values.

    Hello Gernie,

    Isn’t it in Manuel Turn possible to set the number of movements in the cycle “thread” with the “alternative button”?
    I remember something like this…

    Good luck!

    Hello Theo,

    Yeah, it’s possible to do with the Select button. But one can program max. 6 thread turns. I don’t know why.

    I made it manually.

    Thanks for your effort!

    Have you tried that with parameters? It’s also possible to get in with (for example) 20th thread.
    Then you just have to input R11=R10*19.
    Always 1 less, because it starts with 0° offset.
