Mach in thier instructions has a charge pump circuit that works. I have used it and it is pretty simple

There are a couple of chargepumps on the Mach3 site http://www.artofcnc.ca/ChargePumpSafety.pdf designes by Mariss from Geckodrive. They look pretty simple, and having read posts from Mariss out here I would definitely trust anything he says. He really knows his stuff well. So if he drew these you can be sure that they work.

Yeah, I did the same thing when it came to all the other boards too. In my case it's pure cowardice in the face of overwhelming electronics.
