Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
i have done some part grinding with our cnc's.
what type of parts?
just curious. it seems here in the twin cities, that if the cnc grinder does not have a cycle for it, the shop cannot do it. I ran a shop with new and old ANCA's, and i would code anything i could get for work. just wondering about other areas. thanks
i am the same, we grind all kinds of diff. work.
but without skilled operators you can only do what the machine can do.
grinders have pre-programed paths for sharpening cutting tools, and if your operator can't manipulate the machine you can only use the programs that are available. also i have found that it could take up to 4 hrs to set up and grind 6pcs of some diff. type of part and the order is only worth 50-100$. our operators should be running 2-4 machines at once, so if they have to stop and concentrate on only 1 machine for a non profit job, why bother?
(unless its part of a larger job)
if there is $$ to be made and parts to grind, i will make my machines grind it.
