Hello everyone
I have a problem and hope somebody is able to help me out
I have to process parts as flame cuts on a milling machine 42CrMo4. My problem is that I have to face mill the parts and each time when I mill over the flame-cut edge the cutting plates break.
I already spoke with the manufacturer of these plates and he got me a different type of plate but the problem remained. They last a bit longer but they still break!
After I tried to mill away the flame-cut edge with a HM milling machine... but after I also had to throw it away.
I don’t know how to continue; maybe someone has got an idea?!

Give us a bit more details about your strategy, tools, cutting values...etc.

We mill flame-cut parts with WSP for stainless steel. We have made good experience with it. Vc has to be adjusted according to the hardness...
