Is there a setting for the beeper loudness on an '08 VF2? The pitch is so loud I swear it's going to split my skull in half. I wear ear protection and try to keep the door closed. Also covered the little speaker with duct tape but then you can't hear it at all. Just hoping there is a speaker setting.

You can turn it off at setting #39 I think, but no volume change I believe.

On some Haas' the beeper/speaker cover actually turns to change the volume..Kind of like the air vent on the dash of your car. might try that.

On closer inspection there is a shutter over the speaker. When I first checked I was trying to turn the whole face but you have to turn the tip, works great! Thanks.

Could have been worse. I ran an older VF-0 once on which the alarm sounded like a very sick cat meowing. That was REALLY irritating.

no control on volume in setting, you can adjust volume on speaker, by turning cover on speaker,.......its hart to find it but if you do its working great..
