    Hello

    In our company we have the following problem:
    Our aluminium alloy parts are coated and when processing the plane surface, the lacquer chips.!?

    We have already tried ganging and counter rotation .
    And it costs time to rough and then finish afterwards.
    We use a cutter heads from Mapal or Hohlfelder with 8 to 12 teeth. Did not do anything.
    With the average speed -> we have already tried everything too, at least technological wise.
    We are just at the end of our tether.

    In my opinion the cutting edge geometry must be the problem- which cutting geometry can you recommend me?

    Or you have any other ideas?

    Do you have sharp aluminum plates?? Then I would take plane cutting heads and warm up the lacquer slightly so then it is TOUGHER....

    Yes, the plates are sharp and new.
    And we do use plane cutting heads, however the warming up doesn’t work.
    It’s a series production: raw parts onto the device on the device ad go, the machines run for 24 hours.

    I don’t understand your answer?
    Our measuring head is between 80 -160 mm (diameter) and have hard metal plates inside.

    Hss is really really sharp. If you mill the contours with a hss miller, then it might work.
