    Hello

We have to drill 500 ø2,42 holes in 5mm VA plate and we’re fighting drilling and cutting values.
We use titex with the denoted value. Vc8,7 n 1130. We’re not satisfied and try to vary.
Does anyone have a useful tip?

    Greetings Horst

    Hello

What is the holding time of the borer?
How is cooling made? And the covering is also interesting.

Try OSG NEXUS borers. They have very long holding time in high-grade steel.

    3250 r/min and 0,05mm feed/min.

And cool well, if possible with 8-10% emulsion.

    Thanks
    We’re now drilling with VHM borer ø2,4 n 3250, f104.
    Then with HSS-CO ø2,42, after that n3200, f98. KKS about 8%.
It works great. First plates are ready!

    There’s a borer from Mikron-tool in 1/100 grading.
It’s great in terms of holding time and cutting speed. It’s not really cheap but it’s worth the money.

    Greetings
    Uwe
