    Mineral Micro/Macrophotography Stand

    Hi everybody,

Photography of microminerals without microscope is a domain for specialists.
The traditional depth of field question is now solved by taking multiple shots at different position of the camera + computer treatment of all layers.
    The result is surprising ! ! !

Fine tuning of the digital camera position can be obtained with automated XYZ TABLE + controlled Luxeon lighting is THE solution.

Fig 01/02 is a well satisfying lighting experience
Fig 03 is first step of the XYZ motorized system

I am interested to share your experience

More photos on the next message

    Regards
    Micromount

    Hi James
I know the fantastic results of COMBINE Z xx.
But for the moment I don't try for myself this powerful tool.
I just started the project and begin to assemble the "mechanical kit".
(XY tables, optics, lighting, cameras, power supplies, ...)
    thanks for your kind message

Have you looked at Helicon Focus? Someday, I want to try this for landscape photography.

Yes indeed, a very powerful tool also, but not free of charge.
During this project, my target is to check the both programs
    Application : micromineralogy only

Have a look on my website ... mainly in French ! ! !
Sorry ... nobody is perfect ...
