Hi All

I`ve been having sporadic problems with stalling. I`ve contemplated
converting the x and y axis to servos. I just checked out the
ballscrew and mounting plate design for the current stepper on the x
axis and it would need a difficult re-work to accommodate the new
servo if I added the usual timing belt arraignment.
I`ve been looking at servos at Dan Mach`s website. I`m wondering if
anyone in the group has any idea if Dan`s largest servo in the 1100 oz
range would be strong enough to drive my 3 axis wood router in a
direct drive configuration. The ballscrew has a .2 lead and the gantry
itself weights in at approximately 275 pounds and is linked to Thomson
1 1/4 diameter lineal slides.
